Viridian Sailing Center offers sailing instruction for all ages.
To ensure the health and safety of all participants, all sailing classes and camps are being reformatted into a semi-private lessons, with small groups and individualized instruction. Participants will learn the fundamentals of sailing through actual time on the water, sailing with supervision. They will learn by doing, experiencing how the wind moves a sailboat. They will be introduced to all the important parts of sailboats as well as wind strength, wind direction, flotation fundamentals and basic weather influences on sailing. Sailing Lessons include hands-on, investigative and experience-based curriculum that creates lasting memories. Sailing Lessons will be brought to you at the same cost of summer camps. Space is limited and slots will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Payment must be received to reserve a spot.
ADULT LEARN TO SAIL COURSE
Available April through September
Four hours of online instruction and six hours on the water
Dates and course times vary by session
Cost is $75 for annual passholders and $150 for non-passholders.
JUNIOR AND TEEN SAILING LESSONS
Junior Sailing Lessons - Week-long Sessions in June and July
Monday-Friday, 9:00A-12:00P - Ages 8-12
Teen Sailing Lessons - Week-long Sessions in June and July
Monday-Friday, 3:00P-6:00P - Ages 13-17
Cost is $150 for Viridian Residents or $225 for non-residents.
