Explore Lake Viridian Like Never Before

Experience the beauty of Lake Viridian from a whole new perspective aboard a kayak or stand-up paddleboard (SUP). Our stable kayak launch and low dock with ladder makes this an accessible activity for both young and old! Whether you are gliding across calm waters, exploring hidden corners of the lake, or enjoying time with family and friends, it is the perfect way to get outside and create lasting memories.

Before you launch, our friendly staff will provide a properly fitted life vest, review basic paddling techniques and equipment handling, and assist you in getting underway. Then the adventure is yours to enjoy as you spend up to two hours exploring the lake at your own pace.

Rental Information

Our fleet of 20 Kayaks and10 paddleboards are readily available on a first-come, first-served basis, with convenient credit card payment accepted dockside. Reservations are not required or accepted, except for large group events.

Unlimited Paddling with a Viridian Sailing Center Pass

Viridian Sailing Center Passholders enjoy unlimited access to our paddle fleet for a low fee, starting at $100/season for an individual Viridian resident. Learn more about our annual pass options on the membership link of this website.

What to Wear

For the most comfortable and enjoyable experience, we recommend:

• Closed-toe shoes, water shoes, or athletic sandals that can get wet
  • No flip-flops, slides, or bare feet
• Comfortable clothing suitable for water activities
  • Board shorts and moisture-wicking shirts work great
• Sunscreen
• Optional but highly recommended:
  • Hat
  • Sunglasses with a retaining strap

Family-Friendly Fun

Children weighing 50 pounds or more are welcome on our tandem kayaks. For safety, all participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

Open to Everyone

Hourly rentals are available to both Viridian residents and non-residents, making Lake Viridian the perfect destination for a day of outdoor recreation.
