Turkey Trot - 5K Run / 1-Mile Walk
Kick off your Thanksgiving weekend with fresh air, beautiful scenery, and a morning full of fun! Join us on November 29 for the Viridian Sailing Center's Fun 5K Run & 1-Mile Walk, where fitness, community, and plenty of smiles come together for an event everyone can enjoy.
Whether you're an avid runner chasing a personal best, taking a leisurely walk with friends, or bringing the whole family for a morning outdoors, this event is designed for participants of all ages and abilities. Registration opens at 8:00 AM at Overlook Park, located just east of the beach, with convenient parking available at the Lakeview Event & Conference Center.
Registration is just $25 per individual or $50 per family (up to five participants), and yesyour four-legged running buddy is welcome too! Leashed dogs are encouraged to join the fun.
After crossing the finish line, make your way to the Viridian Sailing Center for complimentary refreshments, great conversation, and a chance to celebrate with fellow participants. For the safety of our youngest guests, children under 12 are required to wear a provided life jacket while on the dock.
As a special thank-you for participating, every registered runner and walker will receive a $25 paddle voucher to use at the Sailing Center, making this event an even better value. This is a fun, non-competitive event, so there are no official race timesjust a great morning spent outdoors with family, friends, and neighbors.
Race Packet Pickup
Participants may pick up their race packet at the Viridian Sailing Center on Saturday, November 21, from 3:304:30 PM, or on race day beginning at 8:00 AM.
