Ready to put your sailing skills to the test? Join the excitement of the Viridian Sailing Center's Tuesday Night Race Series, where friendly competition, great camaraderie, and unforgettable evenings on the water come together all summer long.
Whether you're racing for the first time or you're a seasoned competitor, sailors of all skill levels are welcome to participate in our three 10-week summer race series. Each Tuesday evening features exciting fleet racing in the club's RS Aero, RS Quest, ILCA, Sunfish, and Opti sailboats, giving everyone an opportunity to compete in the boat they enjoy most.
Race nights typically include three races, with the first starting promptly at 6:00 PM sharpyou can set your watch by it! To ensure you're ready for the starting horn, all racers should arrive at the dock 30 to 45 minutes before the first race to rig their boat, check conditions, and receive any race announcements.
The series is designed to be competitive, welcoming, and above all, fun. Sailors improve their skills each week while enjoying close racing and a supportive sailing community. At the conclusion of each 10-week series, awards are presented to the top qualified racers in each fleet, recognizing outstanding performances throughout the season.
