Youth Sailing Camp - Learn to Sail

Viridian Voyager's Sailing Camps are a fun, safe environment to learn the basics and more advanced skills of sailing. This one-week camp will teach kids ages 8-18 to sail using our Optis, Sunfish, Quests and catamarans. To ensure health and safety, camps will be limited to no more than 12 students. Participants should weigh at least 50 lbs. and be comfortable swimming at least 10 yards while wearing a life vest. We keep at least a 1:4 ratio with certified trained instructors and tailor lessons to all levels of experience and ages. Kids will make friends and have fun on the water while learning the parts of the boat, water safety, how the wind moves a sailboat, and how to rig and steer a sailboat. Graduates are eligible to purchase a Junior Sailing Pass to the Viridian Sailing Center and may be invited to join our Junior Racing Team.

Camps meet daily from 9-am-4pm (weather permitting). If a 4 pm is too early for pick up, an additional hour of supervision can be purchased.
