Eighth Annual Firecracker Regatta and Texas State RS Aero Championship
Viridian Sailing Center is proud to announce our Eighth Annual Firecracker Regatta and Texas State RS Aero Championship. Join us for a weekend of racing at the home of North America's largest RS Aero fleet.
The Regatta is open to RS Aero 5, 6, 7, and 9 fleets. Starts will be at the discretion of the PRO and will be outlined in Skipper's meeting.
If you are not a Viridian Sailing Center Annual Passholder, you can charter an RS Aero (5, 7, or 9 rigs only) from the VSC fleet for a charter fee of $150.
Under TICKETS below, add your Regatta Registration choices and click "Add to Cart". Proceed to checkout. From here click "Booking Details" to ensure all information is correct, and then finish with "Payment".
For Viridian Sailing Center Annual Passholders and those chartering a boat from VSC - rigs are on a first-come / first-served basis based on registration. If you need to change rigs at check-in (refer to Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions for specifics on this), they will be on an as-available basis. Also please note that Viridian Sailing Center does not have RS Aero 6 rigs - if you wish to sail this rig you must supply your own. Questions? Please contact Regatta Chair, Joan Lucas.

All Viridian Sailing Center Aeros will be launched at the Sailing Center. For participants chartering a boat, please let us know the size of the rig you would like to use upon registration (Aero 5, 7, or 9 - VSC does not have Aero 6 rigs). Dollies will be made available for launching.
Visiting boats can be launched at the Sailing Center if dollies will fit through the gate (we can fit an Aero dolly), at Viridian beach, or on the Viridian Ramp located on the Northwest corner of the lake. There is no security guard on-site, and the Viridian Sailing Center will not assume responsibility for property left on the premises. The Viridian dock will be the central meeting place for regatta activities.
Restrooms will be available at the Regent Pavilion, located 50 yards east of the Lakeview Event and Conference Center (LECC). THESE ARE ACCESSIBLE BY ACCESS PASS ONLY. Passes will be located at the Sailing Center desk. Portajohns and changing tents may be available as well.
Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. The Organizing Authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury, or death sustained in conjunction with or before, during, or after the regatta.
All competitors must sign a waiver before participating in the event.
